In the wake of COVID-19, business continuity planning has taken the top spot as the “hottest” compliance topic for U.S. investment advisers, followed by cybersecurity, which had previously held the top ranking, ACA Compliance Group’s 2020 Investment Management Compliance Testing Survey found. Enrique Alvarez, a senior principal consultant at ACA, discussed the survey’s findings with the Cybersecurity Law Report, including the measures firms are taking in connection with cybersecurity, data privacy, BCPs and testing, and the state of their budgets for these programs.
