Cyber insurance can provide coverage for a broad range of losses resulting from a data breach. However, issues such as the lack of uniformity in coverages and exclusions – as well as uncertainty around how cyber insurance dovetails with other types of insurance policies to mitigate risk and losses – create challenges for businesses. In a recent program sponsored by Strafford CLE Webinars, two attorneys from opposing sides of the insurance industry discussed the growth of specialized policies, their interplay with other types of coverage and best practices when pursuing claims and policies.
