The work-from-home regime necessitated by the COVID‑19 pandemic has upended many organizations’ operations, leaving gaps in their cyber defenses. One gap may allow room for a breach caused by an insider, either maliciously or inadvertently. A recent program sponsored by the Data Protection World Forum examined the cyber threats posed by insiders, evaluated how the COVID‑19 pandemic has amplified those threats, and discussed how businesses can address the evolving risks. The panel featured experts from iSTORM Solutions, Marsh & McLennan Companies and IBM’s Promontory Financial Group.
