Letters this year from the heads of BlackRock and State Street Global Advisors both emphasized corporate culture and purpose, reflecting the increased focus by many companies on how ethical corporate culture and profitability can co-exist, and propelling other companies to heighten that focus. The Cybersecurity Law Report spoke with Erica Salmon Byrne, executive vice president, governance and compliance of Ethisphere and the chair of the Business Ethical Leadership Alliance, about Ethisphere’s recent survey of the practices of companies it has rated the “World’s Most Ethical” and three important factors in aligning culture and strategy.
