FTC Data Security Hearing Examines M&A Cybersecurity Risks and Promoting Better Policies

There is a significant debate within the FTC and in the public about the role data security should play in antitrust analysis, FTC Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter told the Cybersecurity Law Report on the sidelines of the two-day data security hearing at the FTC as part of its Hearings on Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century.
