Tesco Is Making Big Strides With Little Learning Leaps

Evidence is mounting at Tesco, one of the U.K.’s largest retailers, that its “Little Learning Leaps” microlearning approach to employee compliance training increases uptake and retention, allows for better customization to job duties and current events, and employees prefer it. Tesco’s microlearning program replaced single lengthy training modules with multiple short bursts spread out over time and allowed learners to test out of future content by demonstrating their existing knowledge. Tesco’s ethics and compliance director and its business integrity manager provided details about Tesco’s program and valuable insights for practitioners considering a move to microlearning at SCCE’s 10th Annual European Compliance & Ethics Institute.
