Velvet Johnson, formerly a cybersecurity policy advisor to the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Senate, is the latest addition to Michael Best’s privacy & cybersecurity practice group, the firm recently announced. Johnson, based in Washington, D.C., is a senior counsel who advises clients on internet policy, regulatory compliance, privacy and cyber-related issues. The firm has also recently made other high-profile additions to its cybersecurity practice, including Ryan Sulkin in Chicago, and Elizabeth Rodgers in Austin.
